First statewide deliberative poll shows support for realignment, changes to legislative representation and the initiative process

SAN FRANCISCO, CA — California Forward, PPIC, the New America Foundation, Stanford University and others will release the results of the first-ever statewide deliberative poll at the Commonwealth Club on Thursday. James Fishkin, an international deliberative polling expert will address the club and elaborate on the findings. The unique 3-day experience convened a random, scientifically selected sample of 412 Californians to ascertain their views on legislative representation, taxation, local control and accountability, and the initiative process.
